We went down to New Ulm to celebrate Christmas and New Years with Grandma and Grandpa Roesch. After arriving on Thursday night, we opened presents. Cora and Henry loved that. All kinds of fun new things to play with. The kids also liked Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas decorations.
The next day, I got to take a break and play on my own, exploring the city of New Ulm a little. The kids stayed with Grandma and Grandpa and Daddy. They had a really fun time together.
New Years Eve was spent with a visit from Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Roesch and Great Grandma Schmid. We had a little New Years party and exchanged a few gifts. We counted down to the New Year at 7:00 so Cora could sing the song and throw confetti. She liked New Years!
The grown ups stayed up late enough to watch the real ball drop and then went off to sleep. The next day after the snow had settled, we were back on the road. We're looking forward to next Christmas when Sarah, Steve, and Baby Boy Fink will be joining us!
