School began this year on September 2nd with a lovely start. A special breakfast of waffles, strawberries, and whip cream by candlelight. Once Alice went down for her nap, we took first day of school pictures on the front step. (Family Tradition!)
Then, we headed downstairs to begin. The classroom was decorated with all the Back to School decorations. Here's the kids' reactions:
Last Wednesday, the kid's Mother of Divine Grace Uniforms arrived. We'll be wearing these quite a bit! The kids are very excited about them... and so am I!
Cora is in Second Grade this year and Henry's in his final year of preschool. Cora is taking Math, Phonics, Handwriting, Music, Art, Science, US History/Geography, Poetry, and Religion. Henry is beginning to read and is going deeper in his studies of the Alphabet, Math, Art, Social Studies, and Music.
Overall it's been a bit of a rigorous running of transition, but it will be very good once things even out a bit. They seem to be more tired at night, but overall school is going very well.
