Cora's Birthday- Continued

Up to Glenwood, we went on Friday afternoon to celebrate with the Peterson clan. Aunt Abby and Aunt Em were already waiting for us at Grandma and Grandpa's house when we arrived. A pile of presents covered in princess pink wrapping paper welcomed little bean into the house.

On Saturday at 11:00, Cora and Henry returned from the beach with Grandpa Dan and Adam to find that the kitchen had been decorated in Disney princess finery by the Aunties. On the table was Cora's oh-so-cool Little Mermaid birthday "cake." It was made up of a group of individual cupcakes and frosted over the top. Completely ingenious! After many oohs and aahs we sat down for a mexican food lunch (a sure fire kid pleaser) and then the party began.

The song was sung, the candles blown out and then, the moment Cora was waiting for, the presents! There were many beautiful gifts to be opened. Cora's eyes were huge as she opened each one and said, "Oh my Goodness!!!" She loved each gift.

Over the course of the weekend she also got to go to her favorite restaurant (A&W) and to the DQ twice. All in all a most perfect weekend.

Thanks, Grandma Wendy and Grandpa Dan for the wonderful party and weekend!

Oh SOOOO cute! I can't believe what a little lady Cora is becoming, and how Henry is growing from baby to little boy! What a happy weekend! Can't wait to see you all sometime soon - it's been WAY too long!

I think Cora & Henry should be the next DQ spokesmodels!
