Cora Elisabeth Turns 4!

Well, my Cora belle turned four today. What a beautiful day it was.

Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Tom came up to visit us yesterday. After their arrival, we decided it would be best if she received her largest gift right away. Here's what she looked like as it was revealed.....

Here's what she was looking at. She loved it! Thanks again, Grandma and Grandpa!

We went to the matinee of Ratatouille with Cora (her second movie theater experience) while Henry stayed home napping with Aunt Abby. Cora thought it was all right. Her favorite part was during a scene where the rat learned how to operate the guy's body by pulling his hair.

That night we made Cora's birthday cake. Cora helped a little but then went out to ride her bike.

This morning when she woke up she found balloons and a tinkerbell themed table cloth waiting for her. She kept say "Oh! Oh!" (Aunt Abby made those cool flowers!)

After church we prepared for the party. Great Aunt Ellen and Godfather Eric (get well soon, Great Uncle Mike!) arrived and then we sat down for lunch. It looked like this! Just before we started, Cora received a phone call from Aunty Sarah!

After lunch it was Henry's naptime. The group then went out to tour the secret garden while Mommy and Aunt Ab got dessert ready. Then everyone came in, opened presents and had cake. (Next year I hope Henry will be able to make it through till presents and cake. We missed him.)

I just have to say this. Cora was so well behaved, so patient, so kind, so thankful. It was a wonderful day. Thank you God, for this gift, this little child who shows us your love and beauty every day.

Next weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Peterson, Aunt Em and Aunt Ab in Glenwood!
