The Princess Party

Cora's princess party was a sucess! We all dressed up in our finest attire, Cora in her blue Cinderella dress, Aunt Em in a bridesmaid dress, Daddy in his suit from our wedding, and me in my wedding dress. (That was Cora's idea.)

First, there was a great deal of dancing and twirling in the living room to Disney Princess music, "A Dream is A Wish" and "I Know You" the most enchanting. Then, at the appointed time, we made our way downstairs to where the flower pinata waited. Cora was excited to take her wacks at it. Though it really was Aunt Emily who made the first good crack and eventually broke it, (Mommy knocked it on the floor) Cora gets all the credit for her hits. As the candy was gobbled up (not all of it, there's still 4 lbs left... yes Mommy and Daddy filled it too full) we got a call on our cell phone for Cora. It was Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty.) She called to congratulate Cora for learning how to go potty on the toilet. Cora's face was awestruck and she said, "You're my favorite princess!" Her little hands almost seemed to shake as she talked more about dresses, her princess party, the three good fairies. When the phone call was done, Cora said, "Princess Aurora called me!"

What fun! What a wonderful party you gave her. And how fun that Princess Aurora took time out of her busy schedule to call!
