Tonight for dinner after Cora's dance class, we went out to eat at the Olive Garden. Cora ordered cheese ravioli, raspberry lemonade and ate breadsticks and salad. Henry had breadsticks and pizza. They were both stuffed and layed down in their seats until it was time to go home... We don't usually eat so many carbs in a sitting!
This afternoon, Cora found Trivia in a book she'd been reading and came to ask me the questions. Then she found the answers and shared them with me. She was so proud of me for getting 7 out of 10 right. "GREAT JOB, MOM!!!" It was fun to hear her reading so fluently and sounding out words like "Cleopatra" and "distinguished" and "civil." Even when she didn't get them perfectly she was trying and that is so satisfying to see. It makes me feel like the hard work is totally paying off and I get to appreciate it. :D
A Good day.

That is a tremendous gift that you are able to see the rewards of teaching her yourself. That you can be there to see those moments is really a blessing. How cool is that!
